An urge to streamline, simplify, and strip things back ran throughout the SS’20 runways, with designers showing clothes that transcend trends while remaining seriously desirable. Our setting in Topanga Canyon, known for its artistic roots, echoed this fusion of style and substance, capturing the essence of the Californian dream.
SCOPE: CAMPAIGN CONCEPT / CREATIVE / ART DIRECTION
Fashion’s nostalgia for the ’90s reached it’s peak during SS’20, bringing with it a renewed appreciation for the era’s biggest style icons — and none were more admired than Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Taking inspiration from her summer vacations spent on the beaches of Hyannis Port, Cape Cod, we celebrated a sartorial return to the decade, which feels undeniably modern and understatedly cool.
Hugo Comte’s work is deeply inspired by the ‘90s aesthetics of cinematography and fashion, which made him the perfect partner to work across the SS’20 seasonal campaigns.
